Explosive Tip Flash-Bang Alternative

ForseMark 9mm 95 Grain Explosive Tip Impact Round
Next-Gen Disruption. Hybrid Reliability. Mission-First Design.

A New ATF-Recognized Ammunition Class

Big news for the StrikeForce™ ETIR platform:
ATF has formally recognized StrikeForce™ ETIR as its own ammunition classification.
ForseMark StrikeForce™ ETIR – Exploding Tip Impact Round™
ATF-Classified. Mission-Driven. Operator-Ready.

Mission-Driven Design
The 9mm 95 StrikeForce™ ETIR™ is the latest evolution in ForseMark’s Stun and Disrupt technology—engineered for tactical teams operating in confined, high-risk environments where rapid behavioral disruption is essential.

The StrikeForce™ ETIR is not simply a projectile; it is a precision-engineered tool designed to deliver a controlled, high-intensity impact effect that enhances officer control during critical moments.

At its core is a proprietary, ATF-approved micro-disruptive payload embedded within the tip. Upon impact, it produces a concentrated pressure effect that:
    • Amplifies energy transfer
    • Disrupts suspect posture
    • Enhances officer control in close-quarters engagements
    • Maintains the accuracy and reliability required by elite units

The StrikeForce™ ETIR round provides a tactical advantage measured in milliseconds, supporting safer, more decisive outcomes in dynamic environments.

Regulatory Disclaimer
In accordance with the Hague Convention of 1908, this ammunition is prohibited for use against enemy combatants from signatory nations. It is intended solely for authorized domestic military and law enforcement operations.

Intended Use
This round is specifically designed for:

High-Risk Tactical Entries
Where rapid suspect disruption is critical to officer safety and mission success.
Vehicle Interdiction
Delivers controlled impact effects within confined vehicle interiors and can rapidly disable components such as cooling systems.
Active Threat Response
Provides immediate terminal effect in fast-moving, unpredictable environments.
Domestic Military Operations
Hague-compliant for internal security and specialized missions.
Specialized Units
Ideal for SWAT, counter-terrorism, and rapid-response teams requiring enhanced terminal performance.

Small-Scale Acoustic Testing Results
Preliminary small-scale testing has demonstrated that the StrikeForce™ ETIR round can produce effective sound pressure levels approaching 136 dB under controlled conditions. While these measurements are estimates rather than certified laboratory values, they consistently fall within the upper range of high-intensity impulsive events. This early data supports the ETIR round’s role as a compact, impact-activated disruptive tool capable of generating an acoustic signature comparable to much larger devices.

Not for Routine Patrol Use
This round is reserved for mission-specific deployments where enhanced terminal effect and controlled disruption are operational priorities.

Construction Details
  • Precision Brass: Selected to meet strict dimensional and pressure standards for consistent cycling.
  • Nickel Plating: Enhances corrosion resistance and ensures smooth feeding.
  • Sealed Cartridge Design: Primer and case junctions sealed to NATO standards for moisture and debris resistance.
  • Enhanced Integrity: A proprietary polymer-based sealant provides a robust environmental barrier for extended field reliability.
  • Bullet Manufacturer: The projectile is manufactured in-house to maintain our tight level of quality control. The round is created as a open tip round, with the meplat left open far enough for a detonator to be force fitted in place
  • Technical Payload Description: The StrikeForce™ ETIR round uses a micro-disruptive energetic payload composed of a commercially available propellant base blended with finely powdered aluminum. This formulation is engineered to produce a brief, concentrated pressure pulse on impact, enhancing energy transfer and immediate disruption while remaining stable during normal handling and firing. The payload is precisely metered and sealed within the projectile tip to ensure uniform performance and predictable terminal behavior.

Accuracy Performance
Controlled testing by military-trained evaluators demonstrates an average 5-round maximum spread of 1.62 inches at 15 feet. This test was shot in sub-freezing temperatures with the operator switching focus between the ETIR target and a control target. There was also one magazine change during the test. The control round produced a 1.9 inch pattern.

All test samples are randomly selected from active production batches to ensure representative field performance.

How a Small Projectile Can Approach Flash-Bang Sound Levels
Although the ETIR projectile is physically small, its sealed internal design allows it to generate a disproportionately strong acoustic signature at the moment of impact. A useful way to understand this is through a simple analogy:

If a small firecracker ignites in an open hand, the effect is noticeable but limited because the gases can freely escape. If that same firecracker were enclosed tightly, the pressure would build rapidly and the resulting force would be far more intense. The energy has not changed — only the degree of containment has.

The ETIR round operates on the same principle. The micro-disruptive payload is fully enclosed within a rigid, precision-sealed projectile tip. This containment forces the energetic reaction to develop instantaneous, high-pressure output at the moment of impact rather than dissipating prematurely. The result is a short-duration pressure pulse that produces an acoustic signature approaching that of much larger devices, despite the ETIR’s compact size.

This is not due to a large quantity of energetic material, but rather the efficiency of energy transfer created by the projectile’s sealed construction. The design ensures that nearly all of the payload’s energy is delivered into the target interface in a tightly focused, high-intensity event — which is why the ETIR’s measured SPL can fall within the lower range of flash-bang acoustic output while using a fraction of the material.

Understanding the Difference: ETIR vs. OlfactX

ForseMark offers two distinct non-lethal disruption tools designed to help officers regain control of confined or high-risk environments. While both ETIR and OlfactX influence a suspect's behavior, they do so through fundamentally different mechanisms and are intended for different operational needs.

ETIR — Acoustic Disorientation
ETIR (Explosive Tip Impact Round) is engineered to deliver a high-intensity acoustic shock upon impact.
- Produces a loud, disruptive impulse that momentarily overwhelms a suspect's ability to process their surroundings.
- Creates brief confusion and disorientation, giving officers a critical window to act.
- Ideal when the objective is to interrupt aggressive behavior, break focus, or destabilize a suspect's control of a situation.

ETIR is purpose-built for stun and disrupt applications and is not intended for any other use.

OlfactX — Sensory Repulsion
OlfactX is a quiet, low-signature sensory-repulsion round.
- Can be ordered in subsonic configurations for minimal report and reduced environmental disturbance.
- Releases a targeted olfactory payload that makes suspects want to leave the room or enclosed space they occupy.
- Best suited for room-clearing, compliance prompting, and voluntary displacement without the need for loud or forceful disruption.

OlfactX provides a behavior-shaping effect rather than a disorienting one.

Why Both Exist
Although both tools influence suspect behavior, they solve different operational problems:
- ETIR disrupts cognition.
- OlfactX motivates relocation.
